How to Host a Thanksgiving Dinner in 2025 -That You Actually Enjoy
Send this to your Thanksgiving group chat, thank me later!
Thanksgiving hits differently when you’re an adult.
At some point, you realize this day isn’t just about turkey or traditions, it’s about choosing who you want around your table. The people who fill your cup. The ones who make you laugh until your belly hurts. The friends who became family, and the family that feels like home.
This year, for the first time, I decided to fully step into that choice.
I’m hosting a Thanksgiving with my closest friends, that means we’ll have an officially Friendsgiving, with friends who live in other cities, the ones who are visiting, the ones who don’t have family nearby but have become my family. And honestly? I’m so excited. Like, butterflies-excited. Warm-house-with-music-playing excited.
But here’s the thing: we all know hosting is beautiful…but hosting alone? That’s a lot.
Especially on Thanksgiving.
And it felt really unfair to ask one person to open their home and cook an entire Thanksgiving meal for three families (plus the kids!). We all work, we all have busy lives, and we all wanted to enjoy the day, not spend it stressed in the kitchen.
So we did what adults who love each other, and love good food, do: We booked a personal chef on Chefpost.

And wow… game-changer.
Suddenly the vibe went from “Who’s cooking? Who’s bringing what? Who’s stressed?”
to:
“What cocktails are we making?” “What time should we start games?”
“Let’s do the tablescape together!”
No one is overwhelmed. No one is drowning in dishes.
Everyone gets to show up, be present, and enjoy.
We’re even splitting the bill; three families, each with two kids. Easy. Fair. No awkward “don’t worry, I got it” moments. Just adults being adults and deciding:
Let’s do this in a way that feels good for everyone.
Chefpost makes that part super simple. You book the chef in a few clicks and you can split the bill between friends. You can add a server or bartender. You can choose a fully custom menu. And most importantly: you can actually be present in your own gathering.
Now, if you’re anything like me, your WhatsApp group chats right now are full of:
“Who’s hosting?”
“What should we cook?”
“Should we just order?”
“What if we mess up the turkey?”
Cue the chaos.
So let me give you the best shortcut of your holiday season:
Book a chef, split the bill, and enjoy each other.
That’s it.
If you’re hosting in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, or New York, here are my top 5 Thanksgiving & Friendsgiving chefs and their experiences I absolutely recommend. These are chefs I personally know, trust, and (yes) have eaten from more times than I can count. Every single one is beyond delicious and perfect for a cozy, beautiful gathering.
And… friendly warning: share this post to your group chat and decide on the one you want to book ASAP, don’t wait. If you see one a Thanksgiving menu you love, don’t wait.
Let us know if you want to split the bill with your group, we’ll handle it.
Want to add a server or bartender? Easy.

All you have to think about is your tablescape, your playlist, your outfit, and showing up to the people you love.
This is what Thanksgiving should feel like.
Before you go to your Friendsgiving chat, I want to take a moment to say: truly thank you.
Thank you for being here, for reading, for supporting Chefpost, for trusting us with your homes, your tables, your families, and your memories. It is never lost on me what a privilege that is.
I hope this Thanksgiving feels warm and intentional.
I hope you spend it with people who make you feel like yourself.
And I hope you remember that you’re not hosting because you have to,
but because you get to.
Wishing you the most beautiful holiday,
and the happiest Thanksgiving. 🍂✨
P.S. Can’t wait to see all those Thanksgiving moments, I’ll share mine for sure!
With love,
Diana
